IECEx/ ATEX Zone 1 Rig Floor Computer at SPE 2013
Laversab Oilfield Systems will be exhibiting their line of hazardous location computers at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held in New Orleans Sept 30- Oct 2, 2013. Their latest product, the Model 3200 Driller’s Display Unit (DDU) is an intrinsically safe system used in Zone 1 locations. This small and light weight rig floor computer is specifically designed to display critical parameters for the driller.
It features a sunlight-readable display, consumes less than 5 watts of power and requires only a single connection using a circular sealed connector. The Model 3200 DDU has the internal computing capability to provide the user the flexibility to present data in any graphical format desired. It interfaces easily with most existing MWD systems.
Current applications can display and interpret data via WITS, qBus or any proprietary serial interface. The Model 3200 Driller’s Display Unit is the most compact ATEX Zone 1 certified rig floor available and its IECEx, GOST and NEPSI certifications will benefit companies with operations offshore and on land, both domestically and overseas.
